Just remember some of the things Steve Varman manages to achieve with, for example, vegetable in the landscape and try and come up with some fun and creative ideas of your own. Or simply try for a magazine worthy example. Your images can be whacky, fun, or serious - just make them the best you can.
We will run via Pixoroo - so watch out for the Non-comp opening and upload your 3 to 5 images ready to discuss on the night.

Tue 15 Apr 2025 - Photo Skills Night
Basic layers and masks - as requested by members.
This will be an interactive session - so if you have one, bring your laptop (not essential).
We will be covering as slowly as possible the various types of layers available and will take a look at what they do. We will also look at masks - and see how these can be used to assist with selective edits.
Hopefully we will work in Photoshop and Affinity and we will also touch on RAW processing and masks within these. It will be aimed at those members who are not so conversant with these aspects, so if you are...

Firmly established now on the Club calendar, this is the one where the members are arbitrarily and randomly split into three teams and everyone tries to submit their best images to try and win for the team. At this point we will not go into detail about the last three years but will keep our fingers crossed for a change in the winning climate!

This is the BIG one, our Image Of The Year Competition. And who better to judge it for us than our good friend Aleks!
Alex Gjika DPAGB, EFIAP is a member of Cheltenham Camera Club, Chairman of Cheltenham International Salon Of Photography and of course creator of Pixoroo which by this time will be well known to us all as an amazing tool for running our competitions.
Aleks won't mind me saying he can be a bit of a "Marmite" figure where photographic critique is concerned but one thing is for sure, you won't be bored on this, our last formal evening of the Season before...
