  • Young Photographer Awards

    6:30 pm at Renishaw’s Innovation Centre, New Mill, Wotton‑under‑Edge, GL12 8JR

    6.30-7.00 pm
    Welcome in The Innovation Centre with tea, coffee and soft drinks. Engineering items designed and made by Renishaw are on display and someone will be on hand to explain the various exhibits and to discuss career opportunities within Renishaw.

    7.00 pm onwards:
    A slide show of one image from every entrant will be shown (about 12 minutes duration) Following that, professional photographic judge Brian Swinyard MA, EFIAP/b, DPAGB, PPSA, BPE3* will review his final selection of the Under 14 Age Group images and award the Under 14’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes which will be presented by Sabet Choudhury presenter of BBC Television’s “Points West”

    The Richard Pearse Memorial Prize of £100 will then be presented to the winner by Michael Purton, Editor of Stroud News & Journal. The winning entry will be chosen by the Pearse Family from all the entries from both age groups.

    8:00 pm (approximately) As requested by several families last year, there will be a short break to allow any of the Under 14 entrants and their families to leave if they wish so they can get home before it gets too late. However, everyone is very welcome to stay to the end!

    8:10 pm (approximately)
    Our judge, Brian Swinyard, will review his final selection of the 14-18 Age Group images and award the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes which will be presented by Sabet Choudhury

    9:15 pm (approximately) Evening Closes

    VERY IMPORTANT!
    To secure your place at the Presentation Evening,
    Please reply by email as soon as possible to publicity@stroudcameraclub.co.uk stating how many people will be accompanying you. There is plenty of space but we need to know numbers.

WHERE TO FIND US

Our location address is Cotswold Bowls Club, Golden Jubilee Way, Dudbridge, Stroud. GL5 3HQ.

We hold weekly Thursday meetings from 7.30pm at the Cotswold Bowls Club from September to May and have a varied programme of competitions with guest judges, talks and lectures, field trips and practical evenings.

In the middle of the year between May and September our Summer Club swings into action.
This is an informal get together that takes place every Thursday evening throughout the summer. Each week we explore and photograph our wonderful county and end the evening somewhere sociable.

We are always keen to include new members.
