First Open Competition of the Season
Stroud Camera Club opened its 2025–26 competition season with the first Open Competition, judged by Jay Hallsworth. Jay proved to be an excellent judge, offering clear, constructive, and encouraging feedback. His thoughtful critique struck a balance between recognising strengths and suggesting areas for development, which made the evening both enjoyable and educational for members.
The competition attracted a wide variety of work, from wildlife and landscape to portraiture, architecture, and creative interpretation. This breadth of subject matter highlighted the talent and diverse interests within the club, giving the judge plenty to consider when making his final choices.
